Prospective parents are welcome to visit the school by appointment with the Head. At this appointment, parents are invited to take away and complete a registration form. All parents who wish their child to go on the admissions list must first return a completed registration form to the school together with a non-refundable application fee of
50 BD.
Children with moderate learning difficulties from all nationalities are eligible for admittance to the school. The criterion for admission is based upon the outcome of an assessment made by an Educational Psychologist. The child's age is taken into account, as is his or her previous schooling, English language proficiency and cognitive ability/learning potential. All admissions to The Children’s Academy are made on the basis of the school’s ability to meet each child’s needs.
If a place is offered following the child’s assessment, parents are asked to confirm whether they definitely wish to accept the school’s offer. The acceptance of the offer must be accompanied by a deposit of 500 BD. The deposit is returned when the child leaves the school, subject to the school having been given a full term’s written notice of the child’s withdrawal.
Fees are payable in three equal annual instalments and by the first day of each term. A non-refundable development levy of 500 BD per annum, used for capital and curriculum improvements/investments, is also payable at the start of each academic year.
